After School Care

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8

As a service to Westminster parents who require after school supervision for their students, Extended Care is available for K-3 through 12th grade students who must be dropped off early or cannot be picked up at the normal dismissal time. Extended care for K through 5th grade is available on the Lower School Campus. Older siblings of elementary students may attend Extended Care on the Lower School Campus with prior approval. Extended care for 6th through 12th grades is available on the Upper School Campus. Extended care is generally not available on half days or for middle & upper school students during exam weeks. Since Extended Care is an extension of Westminster, all WCA policies and procedures apply.

Extended care is available in the mornings for Lower School students from 7:00 until 7:30 a.m. The afternoon times are from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. WCA must staff Extended Care and desires to be good stewards of all God's resources; therefore, the 5:30 p.m. closing time is very firm and will be strictly enforced. If you cannot pick up your child before 5:30 p.m., you must make arrangements for someone to pick up your child by 5:30 p.m.

Students not picked up by 3:30 p.m. will be sent to Extended Care and charges will apply after a grace period.

Lower School Extended Care is located in the activity room. Designated entrances will be used for pick up of children in Extended Care. Middle School and High School students report to a designated classroom or area.

Lower School - Students in Extended Care must be signed out by a parent or other approved guardian or adult. Brockway students may sign themselves out when their ride arrives.

Upper School - The phone number to retrieve your student is posted on the front door. All students not under the supervision of a coach or teacher, must be in Extended Care.

Students at both campuses will be expected to obey all rules and all authority placed over them while in Extended Care. Those students who consistently disobey the rules or give the Extended Care supervisors problems will not be allowed to stay on campus after the normal dismissal time.

Lower School - $8/day per student. There is no charge for morning care.
Upper School - $8/day per student. There is no morning care.

Late Charge

In order to enforce the 5:30 p.m. closing, a late charge of $1.00 per minute per student will be assessed to parents picking up their children after 5:30 p.m. This cost applies to students K-3 through 12th grade who must remain in Extended Care.
