Technology

Mission Statement

As educators at Westminster Christian Academy, we strive to fulfill our vision of being a covenantal school that provides a quality education from a Biblical perspective by providing our students with the tools necessary to fulfill their calling to be independent, lifelong learners in the 21st century. To equip our students with skills for where God guides them in the future, we believe the use of technology supports the school's mission. By integrating technology into our curriculum, we hope to enable students to develop essential skills to use technology in a Christ honoring manner and prepare them theologically, morally, academically, and with the technical skills to succeed in college and the workplace.

Technology Responsible Use

Westminster Christian Academy offers access to computers and the Internet through our network. To gain access, each student must obtain parental permission as verified by the signatures on the computer use form. The use of Westminster Christian Academy's technology resources is a privilege, not a right. The privilege of using the technology resources provided by WCA is not transferable or extendible by students to people outside the school and terminates when a student is no longer enrolled at WCA.

When a student chooses to bring a personal laptop or tablet on campus, it will have to undergo clearance by the technology coordinator. Individual student use in the classroom is at the discretion of the teacher. Students are expected to respect the management policies of each individual.
